It's been days since I've woke with a song in my head. Kind of weird, actually. When I started this blog, I thought this would be an every day thing. Nope. Nothing since Friday. I was too busy this weekend and had too many details running marathons in my head, so I guess there was no room for music (how sad!). Equal blankness Monday through Wednesday. So, today when I woke to Sia singing, I was glad to have a tune back in my mind - but another non-mystery. We heard this in the car last night, so I guess it stuck with me. It'll be more and more interesting as I follow these songs, to see if they really are all from something from the day before that just "stuck" for some reason. Until then, I'll wait and see.

This one's not a mystery. Last night, I reminded my kids of how lovely (and kinda silly) movies from the 80s can be, and we watched The Neverending Story. It was a true favorite of mine as a kid, so there's no wondering why the theme song stuck in my head. Plus, we watched it right before bed - so I must've been replaying it all night in my mind. There are worse things to wake up to....

Another "golden oldie" playing loud and proud as I woke this morning. Like yesterday's selection, I haven't heard it in forever, but somewhere in the depth of my memories, this record was stacked and I guess somebody selected T84 in my own personal jukebox, the carrier dropped the record on the turntable, the needle touched the vinyl and and Dee Snider woke me screaming, "We've got the right to choose it! Ain't no way we'll lose it..." as I rolled out of bed. Damn.
